Annual Fee per Hectare: The July 2026 Deadline

On the last business day of the month, July 31 (Friday), the regulatory deadline closes for the payment of the TAH regarding exploration permits issued or extended during the first half of the year. The payment slip is already available for issuance on the National Collection, Revenue, and Billing System (SINARC), including via the “no-login” option.

Penalties for Non-Compliance

Failure to pay the full fee by the deadline triggers the automatic enforcement procedure provided for in the Mining Code:

StageAdministrative Impact
1. DelayImposition of a fine per non-compliant permit (base reference value exceeding R$ 4,000.00, subject to adjustments).
2. ForfeitureCumulative non-payment of the fee and its respective fine results in the nullity of the Exploration Permit.
3. Active DebtEnrolment of the consolidated debt into CADIN and judicial collection via the Federal Attorney General’s Office.

Regularization and Installments (ANM Resolution No. 155/2024)

For assets with outstanding liabilities from previous fiscal years or already established fines, an administrative installment plan must be requested before the debt is forwarded to the Federal Active Debt registry.

Default Rule: Defaulting on 3 installments (consecutive or alternate) automatically cancels the agreement and accelerates the remaining balance for judicial collection.
